My dream for animals is that they will be treated with dignity and respect. “My Dream For Animals” was created because billions of animals throughout the world today are deprived of these basic needs. We, as humans, are meant to coexist with other living beings with whom we share the planet. It is upon us not to exploit them. Their treatment and welfare are in our hands.
I have always had an attraction to the water and the tricks it plays on light for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are of my brother and I snorkeling on family holidays to France and the Mediterranean Sea. I can clearly remember my first experience of watching shafts of sunlight weave down into the deep blue, carved by the rippling ocean surface.
Sasa Pesic runs a dog shelter in Serbia and has approximately 700 dogs in his care. He opened it in 2009 after finding four abandoned pups on the streets of his hometown of, Niš, Serbia. The stray dog problem is serious in his area, and at that time, dog-catchers would kill any dog found on the streets.
The Beagle Freedom Project's mission is to rescue and find homes for beagles used in laboratory research. It was formed in December 2010 when Shannon Keith received information that beagles who were to be used for animal experiments in a research lab were to be given a chance at freedom. Beagle Freedom Project is a service of Animal Rescue, Media & Education (ARME). Founded in 2004, ARME is a nonprofit advocacy group created to eliminate the suffering of all animals through rescue, public education and outreach.
